Born in Messina in 1987, he made his debut at the age of 24 with the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina. In July 2012, he made his operatic debut conducting Rossini’s Adina at the Rossini in Wildbad Festival. In August 2016 he made his first conducting appearance at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro conducting Duetti Amorosi. From october 2015 he has been appointed Principal Conductor of the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina (Italy).

He studied orchestral conducting with Gianandrea Noseda (Master Class at the Milan Conservatory), Donato Renzetti, Gianluigi Gelmetti (Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena), Antonino Fogliani, Vittorio Parisi, Lutz Köhler (UDK Berlin), Romolo Gessi and Giuseppe Lanzetta. He initially graduated in piano at the Conservatoire A. Corelli in Messina, and eventually completed with highest honours his Master Degree in orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire G. Verdi in Milan Maestro Vittorio Parisi’s class. He is currently completing his composition studies in the same Conservatoire under the guidance of Danilo Lorenzini and Gianni Possio. He completed his training working as assistant conductor to Antonino Fogliani in many reknown theaters, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Nederlandse ReisoperaTeatro Regio di Parma and Teatro Lirico di Cagliari. He was also assistant conductor to Domingo Hindoyan at the Opéra national de Lorraine based Nancy.

From the late 2014 his conducting activity has become increasingly significant. He had his debuts with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo and subsequently with the Orchestra del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele di Messina. In April 2015, he was re-invited to conduct the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina and the Orchestra di Toscana Classica. In July he made his first conducting appearance with the laVerdi Orchestra in Milan in the production of Bluebeard’s Castle by Béla Bartók in the occasion of EXPO 2015.

Highlights of the 2015/16 season at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele included Beethoven 6th symphony directed and choreographed by Micha Van Hoecke, The New Year’s Concert 2016 with Gilda Buttà and La Bohème. In April he conducted a concert with Orchestra di Toscana Classica (Florence) starring Luca Buratto (2015 Honens Prize Laureate). In December 2016 he made his debut at the Teatro F. Cilea di Reggio Calabria (Italy) conducting Genio Inedito (rare music by Cilea and Manfroce).

Last June he conducts two concerts with Orchestra di Toscana Classica starring Giuseppe Andaloro and Giulia Rossini. In July he made his first conducting appearance at Festival di Spoleto conducting Delitto e Dovere by Alberto Colla. His future engagements include two concerts with Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina, an invitation by Gianandrea Noseda to conduct Obiettivo Orchestra (a project powered by Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino), Delitto e Dovere at the Teatro Coccia di Novara (broadcasted by Sky Classica HD, channel 138) and another concert with Obiettivo Orchestra in 2018In early 2018 he will return on the podium of the TVE di Messina conducting The New Year’s Concert and La Scala di Seta (in collaboration with Accademia Teatro alla Scala). Recently had been invited to assist Iván Fischer for a Falstaff production in Budapest and at The Hong Kong Festival (march 2018).
